Probe sees 'Pac-man in the moon'

This is cool. :P

The Cassini spacecraft in orbit around Saturn has caught an interesting new view of the tiny moon Mimas.

The probe measured temperature differences across the object's surface and produced a map that looks just like the 1980s Pac-Man video games icon.

Scientists are unsure why Mimas should display such variations but say it is probably related to the diversity of textures in the surface materials.

Some textures may retain heat better than others, they explain.

Mimas is about 400km (250 miles) across. It has a distinctive scar called Herschel Crater which has led many to draw comparisons with the "Death Star" from the Star Wars movies.

The Cassini team says the creation of the crater itself might have played a key role in changing conditions across extensive regions of the moon's surface.

Cassini is a joint venture between the US space agency (Nasa), the European Space Agency (Esa) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).

Its mission was recently extended through to 2017.

missing pieces;

People always ask if I'm in a relationship or whether I want one. I mean, its not like I haven’t had them before but at the moment, all I’m really looking for are friends that I can totally trust and rely on. I miss those days where I could completely rely on guys, that were so nice, and you just know they’re never going to make an abrupt move on you.

Those times where they would always tell the truth instead of lying, and tell me straight off if I have a crappy attitude or look off.

Those times where those guys were complete jokers and flirts, but made me smile all the time.

Those times when they would comfort me with senseless words, pull me in a hug and help me sleep at night when I was down, and know that they would never take advantage of me.

Those times where they’d just tell me honestly about what guys want and what do to.

Those times where they were just there when your girlfriends can’t help you.

It’s only taken three years for my world to completely flip around. Tania’s post totally made me realize that. I miss that loads. And I’m going to university sometime next year too. It’s too soon. How’d I know who to trust and who’d be there for me then besides my ever trusty girlfriends? I’m hoping that my girlfriends will be more than enough for me to get through the rest of my life.

Smile
Uncle Kracker

This, is to all my friends out there. Love you all loads.
:)

You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your life
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok yeah it´s ok
And the moments where my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile

Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed sing like bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile

Don´t know how I lived without you
Cuz everytime that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed sing like bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Ohh you make me smile
Ohh you make me smile

impatience.

Sugeeta and I have a new found obsession over Ian Somerhalder (and aside that I like Paul Wesley about just as much). *Thank God he comes back on screens on the 25th!* And I just love White Collar obsessively now. AND I CAN'T WAIT TIL SEPTEMBER. :'(

This is totally one of my favourite pictures of Ian. ;)
-Vampire Diaries

A page of Seventeen. I know its cliche, but I do like the good guy in Vampire Diaries too. :P And this is the best vampire comparison ever. Seriously, Paul has the nicest bod. And I take scary over sparkly any day. Sorry Pattinson. :P
-Seventeen

Matt Bomer for anyone? He's so charismatic and charming. He's amazing, why can't he act in other movies or TV shows? :( He's fantastic in White Collar. A must watch CW show. MUST WATCH.

My tumblr has like THE best shots of them.
Well, all reblogged la. :P

Enjoy!

movies to look forward to.

When White Collar hit their season finale, I was so depressed. ONLY 13 EPISODES. And it ends with a devastating cliffhanger. AHHHHH! And I don't know when it returns again. :( And Vampire Diaries doesn't return onto the television screen until 23rd March. Days before trials. :'( I felt so depressed.

Anyway, I did what Sugeeta would normally do (minus the soccernet part :P ).
Go on IMDb. And here, are the movies to look forward to in these few months.

1. Alice in Wonderland

Hands down a classic remake worth watching. I'm not a big fan of the classic tale, but Johnny Depp is a fantastic actor, so it should be fun. :) I'm waiting to see my Cheshire cat friend. Heehee. Love that toothy grin. :D And apart from the mystery and fantasy going on about it, it's got fantastic reviews so far, just what you'd expect from Tim Burton. Should be worth every Malaysian cent. However much that is worth. :P

2. Dear John

Nicholas Sparks + Channing Tatum + Amanda Seyfried.
I'm not a giant fan of Nicholas Sparks, and this book that he wrote wasn't a fantastic read either. Okay, I know movies adapted from books like these don't normally turn out very well, as the books are always much much much better, unless you have a fantastic director, like directors who directed HP1 and LOTR. But I'm a Channing Tatum fan, and I never miss out on his movies anyway. Amanda Seyfried; I'm not a huge fan. She's a REALLY good actor though. Sounds promising. :)

Synopsis:
Special Forces Army Sergeant John Tyree (Channing Tatum) is home on a two-week leave from Germany. He meets Savannah (Amanda Seyfried) after he dives into the ocean to retrieve Savannah's purse that had fallen off the pier. John is smitten by Savannah and falls in love at first sight. Savannah is a college student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is on spring break and is helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. John joins in with Savannah to help build the house. Along the way a budding romance occurs, and Savannah falls deeply in love with John. As she is about to go back to college, she promises to write John overseas during the next 12-months until he returns to her after completing his enlistment. Their love is put to the test when John reenlists after the 9/11 attack.

3. Remember Me

So, after his airbrushed abs on New Moon, I was totally turned off by Robert Pattinson. Actually, I was turned never turned on by him in the first place. He puts vampires to shame. *Vampire Diaries KICKS ASS* But according to reviews, he acted well in this movie! Very promising. And its a sweet chick flick. Whats not to like? :)

Synopsis:
In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn't think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed, tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstances that brought them together threaten to tear them apart. Set in the summer of 2001, Remember Me is an unforgettable story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one's life.

4. Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

I am a Shia LaBeouf fan. Loved him ever since his role in Transformers (and forever). I've never watched crime-economic related movies before too. And well a sequel to an Academy winning movie? Should be good good good!

Synopsis:
The film is set 23 years after the first film, in June 2008 and Gordon Gekko has just been released from prison. Despite his initial attempts to warn Wall Street of the forthcoming economic downturn and stock market crash, no one in the financial world believes him due to his conviction for financial crimes. Gekko decides to re-focus his attention on rebuilding his relationship with his estranged daughter, Winnie. Due to their time apart, and the fact that Winnie blames Gekko for her brother Rudy's suicide, she avoids any contact with him. At the same time, the mentor of young Wall Street trader Jacob unexpectedly dies, and Jacob suspects his hedge fund manager of being involved in the death. Jacob, who is Winnie's fiance, seeks revenge and agrees to Gekko's offer of help, in return for which Jacob agrees to help Gekko with Winnie.

Looking forward to this. HEEH. :)

And finally, a really weird fact.

tumblr.

Yes, I now have a tumblr account, to reblog cute stuff that I see all the time on that awesome site. ;)

clicky on the link. :D

It's currently full of White Collar stuff.
Love Mozzie.
:P

a lesson to remember.

In all my years of work, I've learnt three things.

Firstly, know when to keep your mouth shut.
Secondly, your boss is always right.
Thirdly, never simply state that there is a problem, find a solution for the problem.

My boss once told me this; " Never tell me that there is a problem with your work. Think, come up with a solution and then tell me what you need to solve the problem you encounter. I'd hire street cleaners if I knew that the work was easy enough. "

-Dad

And after rambling the whole day, I realize he's absolutely right. Logically, there's really nothing that can be done. I've already gotten in trouble today for my big mouth - well I was totally right, but still; the teacher's always right. And now, instead of complaining, that's practically useless, I should spend half that time just finding a solution. Complaints don't get anyone anywhere.

I'm just going to study my best, and hope that I'll get through my A levels.

blank spaces.

I've been staring at this screen for ages, thinking what to write. And I have no clue what to write or where to start. And then I remember why. I've been so unbelievably addicted to a few things I can't take my mind off.

1. Vampire Diaries

I started watching it a few weeks ago, and I totally love it. Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder. Yum. ;)

And for everyone that says, oh, its Twilight again. It's not like Twilight. Okay fine the character backgrounds are similar. Vampire guy and human girl. But honestly, Nina Dobrev has 5 different expressions, unlike Kristen Stewart's SINGLE stoic expression, and Paul Wesley isn't only sooo much hotter than Robert Pattinson, but also so much more of a better actor. Yes, he has manageable and nicer hair and muscles. Yes, he's got emotions. :O *gasp*

Watch it. Its a series that's totally worth your while. :D

2. Charice Pempengco

Since she appeared on Starking in Korea, and was invited by Ellen DeGeneres to sing on her show, and then Oprah featured her on her own show - pulling a few strings to arrange a meeting with Celine Dion. And she sang with Celine Dion at Mandela Bay before she was picked up by Grammy-winning David Foster. And she has two singles out now. Oh, did I mention she was Filipino? :O

Note to God

And, she has a single featuring Iyaz too.

Pyramid

I think she's fantasmic. :)

3. Dance

I went with Imma to my first ever latin ballroom class at college. I admit, I don't suck as bad as I thought I would. LMAO. The steps weren't extraordinarily hard, it was just getting the style. Thank goodness Imma was there to accompany me, he's good. :P It was a good class, and I can't wait for next week. It should be funfunfun.

Grade 8 exams are pulling up, and I can't afford to screw up. I seriously stink at free movement, and even more in Russian. I somehow manage to screw up every class. How terrible.

And I need a new level of flexibility for modern and jazz. Oh so inflexible.

4. White Collar

You probably would not have heard of this show, it's not on the regular tv in UK. :S But its a good show. TRUST ME. :D

Characters from L - R : Peter Burke, Elizabeth Burke, Neal Caffrey, Mozzie.
I love Mozzie. He's so so so funny. :P

The Story (from wikipedia):
Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) is a con-man who was captured after a three-year game of cat and mouse. With three months left while serving a four-year sentence, he escapes from a maximum security federal prison to find Kate, his ex-girlfriend. Peter Burke, the FBI agent who captured Caffrey, catches him again. This time, Caffrey gives Burke information about evidence in another case; however, this information comes with a price: Burke must have a meeting with Caffrey. At this meeting, Caffrey proposes a deal: he will help Burke catch other criminals as part of a work-release program. Burke agrees, after some hesitation. Within a day of being released from prison, Caffrey already lives in one of the most expensive houses in Manhattan, after persuading an elderly widow to rent him her guest room. After catching the elusive Dutchman, Caffrey has proven to Burke that he will help him, and that he will not try to escape again. However, at the same time, Caffrey is still looking for Kate, who he believes is in trouble.

It's honestly a good show. Watch it. :D

5. Heroes

This is one of the things that have completely pulled me away from homework and studies. I don't think its a fantastic show, but I just kept watching to see what would happen. I don't get the fact that they keep killing people and bringing them back to life afterwards; and I don't get the fact that there are sooooo many twists in the story, new family members every few episodes or so. Otherwise, its good. :P

I love, love, love, how Ando has a power and plays a main part in Season 3. :D

Ah, I don't lie. I watch it for Milo Ventimiglia.
And oh yeah, Hayden's a good actor too. :)
And I would die for her power. :D

And the rest of my life has just been sprayed with panic and contemplation. To continue with swimming or not? To bother being active in any other clubs or not? I don't feel like growing up anymore. :(
